Custom Cards

K.R. Engineering card games that use a standard playing card deck will allow you to change the cards to be anything that you want if you're willing to make your own textures for them. By default there are three card schemes included, the Default card theme, a Gothic card theme, and a Modern card theme. To create your own card themes, first create a notecard that is the name of the theme, like 'Classic' and then use the following template:

suit:hearts:texture_uuid_of_heart_cards_texture
suit:diamonds:texture_uuid_of_diamond_cards_texture
suit:spades:texture_uuid_of_spade_cards_texture
suit:clubs:texture_uuid_of_club_cards_texture
back:uuid_of_card_back_texture

Example card theme notecard:

suit:hearts:89fd9b9c-d83d-48fe-2f69-a16693b8f348
suit:spades:b59857c7-eab0-d666-ac0b-c5871482c52e
suit:diamonds:35dcefd6-eca5-4b5e-949a-e290d592d12f
suit:clubs:a9559009-5295-88fc-4f08-613a6f2e721b
back:1e8816ce-23ab-1f8a-0c3f-1f60c9fa3216

The card textures for each suit should be a 4x4 grid, where the top row is (from left to right) Ace, Two, Three, Four. The second row is Five, Six, Seven, Eight. The third row is Nine, Ten, Jack, Queen. The fourth row is King, Joker, (unused), (unused). See table below.

Using the Cards menu:

See the ADMINISTRATION section for information on how to access the Cards menu. On the main section of the cards menu, you will see a button marked ADD SET as well as the names of any card themes currently installed on the table. Pressing the ADD SET button will allow you to drag and drop your own custom theme notecard from your inventory onto the table, thereby adding it to the menu of available themes the next time you access the Cards menu.

When you click on a specific card theme, you will get a sub menu of options:

  • Nothing: Do nothing, literally. This is the "Cancel" button.
  • Delete: Delete this theme from the table. You may NOT delete the Default theme, all other themes can be removed.
  • Load: Load this theme as the game's current card set.
